Confessions of a God Seeker: A Journey to Higher Consciousness by Ford Johnson, assembles the puzzle pieces that answer the questions: Why are we here? Is there a spiritual purpose to life? What’s the connection between spirituality and science? The book tells the inside history of the Religion of Eckankar (founded by Paul Twitchell), first revealed in a series of amazingly detailed out-of-body soul travel experiences; The New Testament Gospels and how they were decided by committee vote, selecting from over thirty competing texts; Shabd Yoga and the politics of Guru selection, and other religions. Confessions then outlines a New Spiritual Paradigm “I AM, GOD IS, WE ARE ONE” that explains who we are as spiritual beings and our true relationship with “ALL THAT IS” (God). The New Spiritual Paradigm presented explains we are a reflection of, and possess the attributes of ALL THAT IS (God). It explains how our journey through many lifetimes takes place within a system of divine love and encompasses many dimensions of reality. The goal of this journey is to expand awareness to the realization that we are One with “ALL THAT IS”. Part IV of Confessions, presents the scientific, philosophical and spiritual basis for the New Spiritual Paradigm, and shows how the growth in spiritual awareness requires instruction and guidance, and is always available, especially inwardly, to those that make the earnest effort to expand their awareness and who specifically ask for inner and outer guidance. This book is keyed to the most highly developed of these inner teachers who work from the higher-octaves (dimensions) to provide love, instruction, experiences, guidance and support to all individuals who are seekers after truth on their Journey to Higher Consciousness. Confessions helps seekers to move beyond religious constructs to discover and live from their own spiritual center, for all beings are an equal part of the "ONE". We differ only in the degree to which we understand, accept, and live by the highest and most transcendent of all spiritual paradigms: I AM, GOD IS, WE ARE ONE. The spiritual giants of all ages, who are still active from higher octaves (dimensions) and continue to guide seekers of truth today, know and live by this principle. That is how they can say, "I and the Father are One." And, just as it is true for them, it is true for everyone and available to everyone. Seeing each person as part of the "ONE", Confessions shows that true inner guidance, protection and love comes from the higher-self or God-Self, which is who and what we really are. Our bodies are, in reality, the machines that we utilize in the physical dimension and subsequently leave at the transition known as death.
